IMPHAL, February 20: The armed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) – Poirei Meitei Lup has claimed the attack the attack on Ningthibi Restaurant at Laiching Chingkhong, Khurai Angom Leikai in Imphal East yesterday in which three persons including the restaurant owner suffered grievous injuries.
The outfit in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary Malemnganba Meitei reiterated that it had already asked owners of restaurants and customers to not indulge in immoral activities or else face dire consequences.
It said the attack on the restaurant was part of the extensive drive conducted by Task Force of the outfit under Operation Mangal to save the society from degrading due to such activities.
Stating that big hotels in the city including Tampha, Nirmala, Imphal, Khristina are also covered by the drive, the outfit declared that Hotel Classic has been banned for carrying out evil activities inside the hotel just to appease rich persons, erring politicians and government employees.
It warned of providing death sentence to those restaurant owners and customers who defy decree of the outfit.
