IMPHAL, February 20: MLA RK Imo said that NSCN (IM) peace talk should not be allowed to jeopardise the territorial integrity of Manipur.
This was said during the inauguration of the club at Sagolband Anudon Akham Leikai today which was renovated under the funding from Local Area Development Fund at an estimate cost of Rs 14- 15 lakh.
Imo said the statement of NPF which came in media was unfortunate and it was this provocation which is leading him to respond in the manner he is doing.
He cautioned that the NPF should think before speaking so irresponsibly for such irresponsibility may incite innocent people to act against the government and destroy the bonds among the people.
Speaking in the support of Manipur territorial and emotional integrity, he said it is communal for anybody to call for the destruction of the State.
The people of Manipur want peace the neighbouring states but any disturbance given to the State will face collectively, he reiterated.
The MLA pointed out that most of the development projects are in hill districts and in yesterday budget session the Chief Minister of Manipur also stated that Non- Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) and Border Areas Development Programme Non- Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) are sanctioned in Ukhrul, Chandel and Churachandpur.
Moreover, the PMGSY scheme are mostly sectioned in hill areas, he said and added that critics should considered and know properly the steps taken up by the government for the welfare of the people.
