Class X student penalised for using cheat sheets

BISHNUPUR, March 8: A student sitting for the Class X examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur conducted was made to stop writing for five minutes at Nambol Private Centre A after he was found using unfair means today.

After visiting the some select exam centres of Bishnupur today, this correspondent had gone to the Nambol centre around 11:10am.

On reaching the centre, it was witnessed that Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup vice president Rajesh Yumnam who is also a student volunteer for the HSLC Exam 2016, was taking out a cheat sheet from the pocket of a student in Room No 4 of the centre.

The student is said to be from T Doren Memorial Academy Nambol.

However, after the exam centre OC and AOC checked before media persons and on finding that there were no questions related to the answers scribbled in the cheat sheets, the student was let go after being made to stop writing his paper for five minutes.

Speaking to the media, Rajesh said even though there was no actual copying, the incident is unfortunate.
