THOUBAL, March 2: The JAC formed in connection with the alleged killing of Ts Thongkhogin Haokip alias Ts Agin, an Assistant Teacher of Molnom Junior High School, Chandel District has decided to resume the indefinite bandh along the Imphal-Moreh section of the National Highway 102 from this midnight.
A statement signed by the convenor of the JAC, Mangboi Haokip stated that the committee is compelled to resume indefinite bandh along the Imphal – Moreh Section of National Highway 102 from midnight of March 2.
It said the decision to resume the agitation was taken after the concerned authority failed to nab and book the culprits involved in the alleged killing of Ts Thongkhogin Haokip, an assistant teacher of Molnom Junior High School till date.
As such, the JAC is compelled to impose the indefinite bandh till the concerned authorities fulfil the charter of demand which include nabbing the culprits involved and punishing them at the earliest, performance of customary rituals of the victim by the Aimol Satu Village among others, it said.
The JAC also further appealed the general public and civil organizations to extend co-operation during the indefinite bandh.
