IMPHAL, March 6: Claiming that politically motivated attempts have been made in recent times to tarnish the image of Moirang constituency, president of Moirang Block Congress Mahila Committee K Jamuna Devi said that the attempts are nothing but attempts to derail the development projects taken up in the constituency.
In a statement, Jamuna said the committee strongly condemned such attempts which will only hinder development projects taken up in the constituency.
She also said that the case filed by one P Saratchandra against MLA Prithviraj who is also the Parliamentary Secretary (Youth Affairs & Sports, Tourism) based on ‘’clerical error’’ in filing election affidavit is an attempt to tarnish the image of the local leader.
She expressed firm believe that judgement will be delivered to the case.
