IMPHAL, March 10: The issue surrounding the post of the BJP Manipur president is likely to be settled before March 19, when the party will be holding its national executive meeting chaired by national president Amit Shah, informed a source.

Sources, said at present Manipur, Bihar, Arunahal Pradesh, UP, Punjab and Delhi have no full-fledged president. Since the national executive meeting is to be attended by three delegates from the State units of the party and with only the State unit presidents, general secretary organisation and national executive council members eligible to attend the meeting, it is very likely that the party’s national leaders will have to appoint new presidents for the said State units.

At the same time, as the national leaders have already decided on the eligible person for the State unnit’s president’s post, there is no need to discuss the issue from start.

The matter, informed the source is awaiting for only an official notification of the national president of the party Amit Shah.

Meanwhile, another source has also informed that the issue may be finalised on March 16, during Manipur in charge MP Prahlad Sigh Patel’s visit to the State. Later he will accompany with a national observer of BJP and will elect one national counselor of each outer and inner Manipur.
