BISHNUPUR, Mar 31: Volunteer of Unique Wildlife Protection Committee, (UWLPC)Manipur, Wildlife Wing, Forest Department and Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun along with experts will conduct a wildlife census starting from April 3 at the southern part of the Loktak including Phoubakchao Sekmaijin, Uchiwa and Mayang Imphal areas.
In this regards UWLPC has requested the local populace to bear with the officials by halting their daily foraging activities at the surrounding areas.
The census operation will be led by UWLPC advisor Dr Kh Shamungou Singh, Deer Specialist and Scientist of Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun.
