IMPHAL, March 20: Zeliangrong Naga Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) warned every section of society not to disturb in the newly construction of Imphal-Kangchup-Tamenglong road under the funding of Asian Development Bank (ADB) said the released from President Amu Kamei.
The ZNU (AMN) also condemn the notified of the Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) under the signature of its general secretary which circulated a meeting notice to be held on March 28, 2016 at 11 am at Khumji Village Hall requiring attendance of all village Khunbus/Chairmen and Members of village authorities (excluding landowners) on the agenda “compensation and Misc concerning the upcoming Imphal-Kangchup-Tamenglong DHQ ADB Assisted central-state sponsored Highway.
It further said that perused the agreement entered into and executed between the landowners concerned and the government authorities well defining the term of offer or donation of the road land (30 metres at built-up areas and 24 metres at open zone) detailed at Para 1 to 11 of the said Agreement.
The upcoming Imphal Kangchup-Tamenglong DHQ, ADB assisted Highways which is being further extended to connect Mahur Railways station (Assam) East-West corridor across the Zeliangrong heart-land is going to open up international road connectivity network a Dream Project we people of Tamenglong District have been eagerly longing for the past over 6 decades.
This road when completed and commissioned to vehicular traffic will eventually wipe away sweats and tears from the face of the underprivileged section of people in this remote corner of the North-East.
The Zeliangrong Naga Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) hereby issue this memorandum in clear terms that any public bodies/NGOs/Organisation under any name and style should not cause any hindrance/obstacles/delay of any sort to this upcoming Dream-realized “Imphal-Kangchup-Tamenglong DHQ Road Project” even for a minute.
The ZYF is irrelevant to call such meeting on compensation matter which is none of its business.
The land and properties Owners welfare Association, Sadar Hill and Tamenglong District (Imphal-Kangchup-Tamenglong ADB assisted Highway) Organised for and by the landowners themselves has been closely and actively coordinating with Government Engineering Department/ADB/Construction Agencies in this endeavour in the best interest of would be affected villagers.
Any Bodies/organization/individuals desiring to know detail of this subject road project is welcome to be explained to by the undersigned and the association concerned said the released of Amu Kamei President Zeliangrong Naga Union (AMN).
