IMPHAL, Apr 18: The hills and the valley together form Manipur, people of both the hills and the valley are children of one mother, said the All Manipur Muslim Development Committee in a press release signed by its spokesperson Md Sayeed Ahamad Sheikh.
Stating that all communities have been sharing the pains and the joys of one another, the statement said that in recent times the State has witnessed some unwanted incidents between the Meiteis and the Meitei Pangals at Lilong and Mayang Imphal due to some carelessness.
It has appealed to all communities of the State to let these unfortunate incidents be the last of such tensions and show the world there is no communal tension in Manipur.
It also said that the committee condemn all individuals and groups who are trying to create a rift among the communities of the State.
The release also said that it joins the bereaved families of class VIII student (L) Md Saddam son of Md Basirruddin and class IX student (L) Md Farooque son of L Badarruddin and those injured during the recent clashes.
