IMPHAL, Apr 18: The District magistrate Imphal West has ordered that restrictions on movement of persons outside their respective residences imposed through prohibitory orders promulgated on April 11under Section 144 of Cr.P.e. 1973 in Cril. Misc. Case No. 6 of 2016 is hereby reviewed and relaxed with effect from 1pm to 5pm today with immediate effect, and from 5am to 5pm every day from April 19, in the areas covered by the whole of Wangoi Sub-Division in Imphal West District.
The official order said the restrictions on assembly of five or more persons which is likely to turn unlawful and the prohibition on carrying of sticks, stones, firearms and weapons of any other description or objects which can be used as offensive weapons, imposed vide orders dated 15th March, 2016 issued under Section 144 of the Cr.P.e. 1973 in Cril. Mise. Case No. 5 of 2016 will continue to remain in force in the said area.
