IMPHAL, May 20: Due to the incessant heavy downpour of rainfall for the last few days in the State, some portions of Imphal-Tamei (IT) Road in Tamenglong district caved in, disrupting vehicular movement along the road.
The site where the road caved in is situated around 1km from Tamei town towards Imphal.
It may be mentioned that the area was cut off from rest of the world during the rainy season of last year.
On the hand, areas along Imphal-Jiribam road (National Highway-37) and Imphal-Tamenglong road where vehicles remained stranded due to the heavy rainfall have not been cleared yet.
However, some vehicles have started heading towards its destination.
