Sadar Hills CSOs resolves to begins stir over Cdo issue

KANGPOKPI, May 4: Civil Society Organizations of Sadar Hills has decided to launch a series of agitation in protest against the installation of Commando out Post Gamgiphai in Sadar Hills.

The decision of the CSOs Sadar Hills came after a joint meeting held yesterday late evening at Kangpokpi allegedly after the expiry of the stipulated time for withdrawal of the Cdo Outpost at Gamgiphai.

The joint meeting of civil society organizations of Sadar Hills at KSO Sadar Hills Administrative Office at Kangpokpi collectively and unanimously resolved to launch a sit in protest at Gamgiphai on May 5 at the initial stage.

However, if they state Government fails to withdraw the Cdo Out Post even after the sit in protest more vigor agitation like highway bandh and economic blockade shall be enforce within Sadar Hills, resolved the joint meeting.

All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) who had come to mobilized for current impasse over reservation issue at Manipur University also dropped in at the CSOs Sadar Hills meeting and expressed their keen moral support.

Various Sadar Hills civil bodies has been strongly opposing the alleged overnight creation of Commando Out Post at Gamgiphai and subsequent deployment of Cdo personnel in Sadar Hills and demands withdrawal of the Outpost and the Cdo personnel from Sadar Hills.

The CSOs Sadar Hills earlier gave the state Government an ultimatum to withdraw the Cdo outpost its personnel within May 3.

The CSOs Sadar Hills also alleged the Cdo personnel of creating more problems and bring the law and order situation while alleging of unappreciated and unbecoming character over innocent women and children as well as civilian.
