KANGPOKPI, May 13: Irritated with the alleged hitherto of stationing police commandos at Gamgiphai, Kuki Women Union (KWU) Sadar Hills today warned to take up extreme form of agitation if the state Government fails to withdraw its force from Gamgiphai within two days.
The state Government had stationed Cdo personnel in an outpost created overnight since April 29 evening at Gamgiphai in Sadar Hills allegedly for security reason, a move opposed by various civil bodies in Sadar Hills.
KWU Sadar Hills, General Secretary, Hahat Touthang said “We have been enduring enough but the state Government look as if playing a deceiving delay tactics towards the patience of Sadar Hills people”.
“Our patience is over at this instant and we will no more tolerate the misleading approach of the state Government”, she continued.
She then warned the Government to withdraw the Cdo personnel from Gamgiphai along with the outpost within two days.
If the state Government fails to withdraw its force within the stipulated time, Sadar Hills women will boldly react and vacate the outpost and the Cdo personnel from Gamgiphai at any cost, further warned the KWU Sadar Hills.
Hahat Touthang also allegedly said that the Cdo personnel at Gamgiphai forcefully took money from some businesswomen in Sadar Hills who are trading at Moreh while the matter was later reported to us by victim women.
“Where there is Commandos, there is no security in every aspects”, asserted Hahat Touthang before adding that the women of Sadar Hills are well prepared and ready react if the state Government fails to act practically with our last ultimatum.
