IMPHAL, Jun 2: The Kangleipak Students’ Association (KSA) is set to intensify its agitation against the arrest of its volunteers in connection with the Salt adulteration case with rallies and highway bandhs.

Speaking in a press at its Sega Road office KSA President Moirangthem Lakshman said, the state government’s failure to intervene in the case clearly shows that it encourages such unethical and anti-people activities.

He said, a mass rally is being planned.

He threatened to impose bandh on the Imphal-Jiribam National Highway if the government fails to release their fellow volunteers at the earliest.

He further said, KSA will step up its vigil upon all kind of business establishments and vendors run by non-Manipuris till the arrested volunteers are released.

He claimed that PCTC Oil Pump located near the entrance of DM College was locked for interfering in their agitation. He warned that the oil pump would be permanently shut down if it opens without KSA’s authorisation.

KSA further announced a drive against Bakeries.
