Cabinet moots House session from Sep 2

E-Front-__-Manipur-state-assemblyIMPHAL, Aug 9: The State Cabinet has decided to approach the Governor so that the 14th session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly is convened from September 2.
The State Cabinet held a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat with Chief Minister O Ibobi in the chair this afternoon.
Briefing media persons after the Cabinet meeting, Government spokesman M Okendro informed that the Cabinet meeting deliberated on the Manipur Regulation of Non-Local People Bill 2016 which is being drafted in place of the PMP Bill 2015.
A copy of the draft Bill would be uploaded on a website of the State Government so that all the people can study it and give their comments and opinions.
The Government would seek suggestions and comments of the public till August 24 and whatever suggestions that can be incorporated into the Bill would be incorporated.
The State Cabinet also discussed the Manipur Technical University Bill 2016 which would be tabled in the forthcoming Assembly session, Okendro conveyed.
The Cabinet meeting, as directed by the Election Commission of India, agreed to recruit necessary posts to the Election Department.
The State Cabinet further decided to fill up vacant posts  in PWD and IFCD.
