Koubru! one of the holiest place for the people of Manipur, the mountain of origin of the various clans and tribes of Manipur and the most sacred place in Meitei folklore and religion somewhere during the month of April, people all over the state visit to pray and worship.
Koubru hill is the highest peak in Manipur, located under the district of Senapati about twenty five Km away from Imphal in which now the Asean Highway 1, the main life line of the state is running through the foot hill of it.
Koubru hill is also decorated by different varieties of plants, bamboos and trees which some could not be found at other part of the Manipur State.
