NEIDP submits memorandum, demands vote recount

IMPHAL, Apr 12 : North East India Development Party (NEIDP) today submitted memorandum to Imphal West DC demanding vote recount for Patsoi AC and to take up appropriate action against the RO concerned.

A large number of NEIDP supporters and party members took out a rally from Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai but were stopped by Imphal West police at Naoremthong.

Sapam Kunjakeshore (Keba), NEIDP candidate from Patsoi AC in the concluded State Assembly election, and his team were allowed to proceed and submit the memorandum to the DC.

Keba said that since the party has submitted solid evidence against the RO, appropriate action should be initiated within 3 days to which the DC assured to look into the issue.
After the memorandum was submitted, NEIDP conducted a press meet at its office located at Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai.

Speaking to mediapersons, NEIDP vice president Narengbam Bishwajit said the party has submitted the memorandum requesting for vote recount in respect to Patsoi AC since the RO concerned was found to have violated the election norms while declaring the election result. Copies of the memorandum were also submitted to the Governor, Chief Minister and Chief Election Officer.
