Kumarjit is new Advocate General

IMPHAL | May 24: Senior advocate, Naorem Kumarjit Singh, has been appointed as the Advocate General (AG) of Manipur with immediate effect from today.
An official order was issued by the Law and Legislative Affairs department appointing the senior advocate with the post of AG.
Naorem Kumarjit Singh, son of late Naorem Sanajaoba Singh, hails from Keishampat Mutum Leikai Born in January 1, 1959 he obtained his degree in Bachelor of Laws in fist division from Lucknow Universiy, Uttar Pradesh in 1981. He has been designated as senior advocate by the then Guwahati High Court in September 6, 2010.
N Kumarjit has been practicing for the last 35 years in Supreme Court and High Court of Manipur and others. He is actively associated with the Manipur State Legal Service Authority, served as a Member, National Lok Adalat, High Court of Manipur and secretary of the association during 1997-1999.
He was also appointed as chairman, Rule Committee and Administrative Committee, Bar Council of Manipur. Presently he is serving as senior executive member in the Bar.
