IMPHAL, May 25 : Locals have today shut down tourists’ bungalow at Canchipur Leishang Hiden to prevent any immoral activity. The bungalow was constructed by Manipur Development Society in 2015.
Speaking to mediapersons, Leishang Hiden Development Committee chief advisor said, “Leishang Hiden is a historical place and with an aim to conserve its importance, Manipur Development Society constructed a tourists’ bungalow in 2015. However, since the bungalow is yet to be officially inaugurated and handed over to the public, the place has been utilized by certain people to indulge in various immoral activities. As such, the locals have decided to shut down the place.”
The bungalow has no security guard as well. Until the authority concerned look into the matter, Leishang Hiden Development Committee will look after the bungalow to prevent any untoward incident, he added.
