Floral tributes paid by thousands of people to the 18 matyrs, who sacrificed their lives for their motherland Manipur. They laid down their lives during the agitation in June 2001, in different protests against the extension of the ceasefire between the Govt of India and the NSCN(IM) without territorial limit. Since then, this particular day has been observed as ‘The Great June Uprising Day‘, held at Keikrupat, Imphal city on 18th of June every year.
