RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED AT THE CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF THE NAGA PEOPLE’S FRONT CENTRAL ON JUNE 14 2017 AT THE CENTRAL PARTY HEADQUARTER, KOHIMA
The CEC of the NPF Central places on record its deep appreciation, gratitude and profound thanks
1. To the Chief Minister and Party President Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu for issuing a clarion call to the Naga people in his condolence message on Mr Khaplang’s death to rally together with renewed vigour and determination to find a solution to the Naga political problem which is honourable and acceptable to all stakeholders. In this regard, the CEC appeals to all sections of the Naga people, especially the NSCN (K) leaders to heed to the call of the veteran leader, renounce violence of all forms and resume the peace process with the Government of India without any further delay. At the same time, the CEC vehemently condemns the section of national electronic media which needlessly criticised the message of the Chief Minister which not only exposed their ignorance of the ground realities prevailing here in the far northeastern part of the country where people want cessation of violence and beginning of a new era of peace, harmony and progress, but also indicated their ghoulish aim to increase the channel’s TV Rating Point by promoting sensationalism and resorting to vitriolic.
2. To Chief Minister of Nagaland for taking the trouble of going all the way to France to pay respects on behalf of the people of Nagaland to those members of the Naga Labour Corps who laid down their lives serving the Allied Forces during the World War I.
3. To Mr Khriehu Liezietsu for vacating his seat paving way for the Chief Minister to contest in bye election so as to ensure that the NPF leadership fulfils its constitutional obligations as Chief Minister of Nagaland.
4. To the party-led DAN Government for inducting a record number of party functionaries into the Government at various capacities and levels.
5. To the rank and file of the NPF Manipur State Unit for their hard work and ability to return four of the party’s candidates successfully to the Assembly thereby ensuring a stable Government in the State of Manipur.
6. To Manipur Chief Minister Mr N Biren Singh for inducting all the four NPF MLAs into his Government. The present leadership in Manipur Government has walked the extra mile to bring all sections of the society together and to march forward in peace and harmony through all-round development. This gesture of the ruling dispensation is widely appreciated and the CEC calls for equal reciprocation by the people of the Hills districts.
