IMPHAL, Nov 23: The All Manipur Petroleum Products Transporters’ Association has called off its proposed agitation of stopping fuel shipment after it struck an agreement with the authority concerned today.
It may be mentioned that the All Manipur Petroleum Products Transporters’ Association announced its decision to launch its agitation from today to protest transportation fare fixed by IOC and demand rectification of flaws in the terms and conditions of tender.
On the first day of the strike today, Malom Oil Depot remained non-operational and the depot ceased supplying fuel to petrol pumps.
At the same time, the attempt of All Manipur IOCL Dealers’ Association members to meet the Senior Depot Manager of Malom Oil Depot to request permission for issuing fuel to retail outlets went futile.
