IMPHAL, Feb 2: The Janata Dal (Secular), Manipur, in its workers’ meeting convened yesterday at the residence of Chabungbam Memcha, decided to support the independent candidate Khangembam Ranjit in the ensuing bye-election of Konthoujam assembly constituency.
The independent candidate Ranjit is a former lecturer of DM College of Arts, Imphal. The other two candidates of the bye-election are Congress candidate Dr. Sapam Ranjan and Trinamool candidate Konthoujam Sarat.
