IMPHAL, Feb 3: The Patriotic Writers’ Forum, Manipur, has condoled the demise of noted scholar and historian of the state, Ningthoukhongjam Khelchandra.
A condolence message of the forum said that the demise of Khelchandra is a great loss for the whole state in terms of the development of art and culture and literature.
Leela Samson, chairman Sangeet Natak Akademi and Jayant Kastur, secretary Sangeet Natak Akademi have also sent their condolences. They have maintained that the late Khelchandra as an invaluable source of guidance and inspiration on all aspects of Manipuri culture.
