IMPHAL, March 13: The state government has recently adopted a reservation and model roster for appointment of government posts/services for SC, ST, OBC and Physically Handicapped Person (now Persons with Disabilities) in case of small cadres for cadre strength upto 13 posts for direct and promotion separately.
In this connection, the addl secy of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Division) government of Manipur has issued an official order on March 3 last.
As per the official order of the addl secy. DP Govt. of Manipur, in continuation of the Government memoranda No. 9/6/2007-SC/ST/OBC/DP dated 11/11/2009, 20/03/2010 and subsequent addendum dated 28/07/2010 regarding the adopted reservation and model roster in appointment to government posts/Services for SC, ST, OBC and Physically Handicapped Person (no Person with Disabilities) in case of small cadres for cadre strength upto 13 posts for direct promotion separately as placed before the earlier sitting of the state cabinet and the matter has been approved by the state cabinet recently.
It further clarified that, in such case of small cadres, all the posts shall be earmarked on the same pattern as in the model post based rosters. Initial recruitment against these posts shall be by rotation against the cadre strength as applicable. While operating the relevant roster, care will have to be taken to ensure that no occasion that percentage of reserved category candidates exceeds 50%. If such a situation occurs at any time, the relevant reserved points occurring as a result of rotation will be skipped, the official order added.
