IMPHAL, Mar 15: The JAC instituted against the death of one 16 year old Y. Naoba, son of late Bangkim of Khurai Kongpal Laishram Leikai has called an indefinite bandh on Imphal-Ukhrul district road with effect from 6 am of January 16, due to the failure of state police department to produce the perpetrators of the crime. Convener of the JAC, T. Anita while talking to media persons, during the sidelines of a sit in protest organized by the JAC held at khurai chaithabi machin decrying the alleged murder further stated that the main demand of the JAC is to book and punish the culprits as per the law who are involved in the killing of Y. Naoba and ,until the concerned department do not arrest the real culprit ,the JAC will further launch different forms of agitation against the government, added the convenor.
During the protest the participant held placards stating ‘ lets not keep killers amongst us’, ‘give appropriate punishment to the culprit’ at the sit in protest.
