IMPHAL, April 18: In yet another significant effort to root out the menace of drugs in Lilong area, a large quantity of drugs comprising of 200 gram of No 4,1885 strips of SP capsules and 16 strips of N – 10 capsules were seized on April 17 by Lilong police personnel with Md Faizal Maroebi , Zilla parishad, Lillong and local organization namely Anjuman Islah-E-Muashra and the seized drugs were burned and destroyed by the public in the presence of Lilong post personnel of 28 Assam Rifles and Lilong Police personnel at Lilong dam at 03:00 pm. Approximately about 300 persons participated in the anti-drug campaign. The drive was carried out by Anjuman Islah-E-Muashra in order to root out drugs from the locality.
