IMPHAL, July 13: In today’s matches of the 1st Ng Shamu Veteran Football Tournament being held at Megha High School ground, Nambol, VSAN of Nambulmapal defeated IVFA Canchipur by a solitary goal while TRVSA Malom defeated AYMFA Yairipok in the second ground match of the day.
In the first match, T Rajen of Nambulmapal scored the all important goal of the match in the 61st minute.
The second match was a keenly contested one though the TRVSA eventually won the match with a 4-3 scoreline.
S Ranikumar and Kh Khujabibi scored one goal each while E Basant scored two goal for the TRVSA. For AYMFA, K Ingobi scored one goal while T Thangsan scored two goals.
