Imphal the 2nd October 2011: The Lions Club of Imphal Greater organized a Social Service cum Tree Plantation Project at Shree Shree Govindaji Temple on 2nd Oct., 2011. The tree plantation programme is under the environmental project undertaken by the Lions Club of Imphal Greater which is one of the Humanitarian Clubs serving in more than 200 countries and mantain the temple’s garden as a permanent project since last 10 years. This project is a step towards making this sacred place more beautiful and greenery. We have planted 15 plants of Banana-G9, and 10 plants of Aricanut (Kwa Pambi). The surrounding of the temple and the garden was given a facelift.
