IMPHAL, Oct 23: Archery team of Assam Rifles being trained under HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles under IGAR (S) participated in the state archery championship, 2011-12 held from October 16 to 23. A total of 20 players including nine civilian players of the AR archery team took part in various events, namely Indian round (sub-junior, junior and senior), recurve division (senior) and compound division (junior and senior). The team bagged nine gold medals, five silver medals and six bronze medals. The team could perform well due to their hard training and coaching being carried out under the aegis of HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles, stated a release of PRO IGAR (S).
