IMPHAL, Nov 1: President’s Rule must be promulgated in Manipur to tackle the present situation arising out of misgovernance of SPF government, stated general secretary of Janta Dal (United) and also in-charge of Northeast, Arun Kumar Srivastava during a press conference yesterday.
He further stated that the people of the state have been facing many problems due to misgovernance of the SPF government. The prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed but still the government is unable to take up effective measures to tackle the situation.
Manipur needs to have President’s Rule at such crucial situation. The sufferings of the people cannot be eased until and unless the government remains insensitive, the JD (U) averred.
Srivastava also asserted that JD (U) is in good relation with Naga People’s Front, however, it would defer in the context of Manipur.
Meanwhile, JD (U) also announced three candidates for the upcoming state assembly election, namely Huimi Shaiza of Ukhrul, Kh Chaobi Devi of Lamsang and Md Abdul Zabar of Jiribam.
