IMPHAL, Feb 24: The election agent of AITC candidate of 46-Saikul, L Kaikam has drawn the attention of Election Commission of India regarding the alleged malpractices committed by the INC candidate Yamthong Haokip in the recent assembly election.
A release from the election agent Kaikam mentioned that Yamthong Haokip has violated all election rules by enrolling himself in two separate villages under the same assembly segment. The photo electoral roll issued by the Election Commission of India was recorded twice in two polling stations of 46/15 and 46/34.
