IMPHAL, Mar 16: The proscribed UNLF in a statement issued by senior publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba has clarified that the outfit is not related to the bomb blast that occurred in a rented house at Pangei yesterday.
It further mentioned that the arrest of Pebam Piktru alias Sharat alias Mangbanba by the police in connection with the blast may be ploy devised by the police to link the blast with the UNLF.
The senior publicity officer clarified that Pebam Piktru is a deserter from MPA and he is in no way related with the outfit. The party is closely monitoring the activities of Piktru if he is associated with any gang or Indian security force.
