IMPHAL, March 21: Considering the silence maintain by the concerned authorities regarding their demands for the payment of due revised pay, due arrears, copy of personal extension orders along with the pay structures, the peripheral staffs of SACS Manipur has begun their cease work strike from today and closed down the ICTC, PPTCT, ART, RPC, blood bank, DAPCU, STI/RTI and mobile ICTC.
Announcing the cease-work strike, N Subradad, councillor ICTC, Kasom Khullen informed media persons during a press conference at the Manipur Press Club that, the contractual staffs had already submitted a memorandum on their demands to the PD MACS on March 5 with a March 21 deadline.
However with no positive response from the authorities, the agitating staffs have collectively decided to continue with their cease-work strike until their demands are not met, he added.
There are around 310 contractual staffs in the SACS, Manipur who have joined the cease-work strike.
