KANGPOKPI, May 15: The recently formed Mothers Union (MU), Kangpokpi assembly constituency has expressed serious concern over the non-release of TD (Tribal Development) fund in respect of Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi constituency urging the state government to release the same at the earliest possible.
“TD funds for all the districts except that of Kangpoki constituency have already been released and we want immediate release for the constituency or we are ready to launch agitations within two or three days,” MU chairperson, Themkholhing told a section of media at Kangpokpi.
She said the union will now ensure whether all the development funds for the constituency have been sanctioned and utilized accordingly. Themkholhing also called upon the concerned minister in particular and the state government in general to look after the matter and take immediate action.
She accused Principal Secretary (TD), Amei Luikham of non-release of TD fund for Kangpokpi constituency and urged the government to remove him from the post and replace with an unbiased person who can execute works in time for speedy development in the district.
