IMPHAL, May 25: Five Trinamool Congress MLAs have today assured to take up the issue of observing the death anniversary of freedom fighter Pukhrambam Kajao as a state observation in the state.
The five MLAs were attending the 122nd Death Anniversary of the Martyr at his birthplace Kangmong under Nambol PS organised by the Pukhrambam Kajao Memorial Trust today.
The MLAs are Oinam MLA I Ibohalbi, Konthoujam MLA K Sarat, Hiyanglam MLA M Kujo, Thangmeiband MLA Kh Joykishan and Wangoi MLA A Lukhoi.
Speaking as the chief guest of the observation Oinam MLA I Ibohalbi elaborated on the life of the freedom fighter.
During the observation, the MLAs and the others offered floral tribute to the Martyr.
