In Assam, flood situation continues to remain grim in seven districts including Dhemaji, Barpeta, Udalguri and Nalbari.
Around 50 thousand people in more than 100 villages have been affected due to flood in these districts. More than 600 hectare of crop land was also damaged due to the flood.
Apart from flood, erosion also created havoc in some areas. Our correspondent reports that the Assam government has under taken relief and rescue works in the affected districts.
