IMPHAL, July 10: All Manipur Power Consumers’ Association has appealed to the state power department to consider their proposal for payment of due bills on installment basis.
A release of the association mentioned that the state power department has not been able to provide regular power supply to the consumers. Moreover, the department fails to distribute the monthly bills regularly and as a result the consumers are charged with huge amount of surcharge for delayed bill payment.
The association appealed to the state government to augment the existing manpower and infrastructure of the power department. The power consumers of the state will render all possible help to the government to solve the erratic power supply, it said.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Power Consumers’ Association will convene a meeting on July 14 at Singjamei Top Leikai Community Hall, Imphal.
