IMPHAL, July 6: Troops of 1/11 Gorkha Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division apprehended one UPPK cadre from K Gamnom village near Khuga Dam in Churachandpur district.
According to a release of PRO PIB Defence Wing, the apprehended cadre is identified as Pvt Shamjai alias Abung, son of (late) Neganglung of Thangmeiband, Imphal. One Chinese made 9 mm pistol was recovered from his possession and he was later handed over to Imphal West police station, stated a release.
