IMPHAL, July 13: On the recommendation of the selection committee, thirteen players of PHAM, twelve players of LIZARD, two players of NYC, twelve players of YCLYL, ten players of SEYO, twelve players of KHSC, nine players of AMHA and nine players of CRAU have been selected from 3rd State Level Men’s Open Hockey Tournament recently conducted at Khuman Lampak to attend the trial cum section of Sr&Jr Men’s State team at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium to be organized by Manipur Hockey with effect from July 17 to August 17 from preparation of state team for 2nd Hockey India Junior/Senior National Hockey Championship to be held in September 2012.
The outstanding players from Manipur at present playing in institutional teams/academies or clubs outside the state are also illegible to participate the trial and any Manipur players who is extremely outstanding and ready to represent the state, such players will be considered as per resolution of EB meeting held on July 13.
N Chandikumar Singh, FIH trained coach, has been selected as head coach and M Rinash Meitei, NIS, will be assistant coach, N Rameshwor Meitei will be Manager and coaching in-charge.
The selected players are directed to report to N Rameshower Meitei (Coaching in-charge) at 2:30 on July 17 positively at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium.
