IMPHAL, Aug 2: The dead body of one of the suspected underground cadres gunned down by Manipur Police Commandos at Lamdeng Khunou on July 30 has been handed over to the family members after conducting postmortem at RIMS today.
The deceased person handed over to the family members is identified as Thangjam Ibomcha alias Bali, 27, son of Ningthemton of Ukhongshang Maning Leikai Laimaang. He was a PLA cadre surrendered to 33Assam Rifles.
On the other hand, the dead body of Sukham Naobicha of Sekmai Laipat is still in the RIMS Mortuary. The locals of Sekmai are protesting against the killing claiming that Naobicha was a simple hardworking person who supported his family by selling ice-cream.
