IMPHAL, August 20: The All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) in an emergency general body meeting which convened on August 19 reviewed the situation in view of the massive exodus of the people of North East from various states especially Karnataka and other main cities in India, said a release of AMCO.
AMCO further appealed to all the Churches in the state to pray ceaselessly and to restrain their members from taking up any unwanted steps that could lead to more violence and destruction.
AMCO also appealed to the general public and those affected and afflicted as they return home, to remain calm and reflect and not resort to any unwanted reaction or play into the communal forces or create more violence.
