IMPHAL, August 28: Two teenagers died in an accident which occurred near Manipur Rural Bank, New Checkon today at around 2.30 pm.
The deceased are identified as Kshetrimayum Umeshwori,16, d/o Ksh Umakanta of Singjamei Chingamakha Kshetri Leikai and Leikham Henao,22, s/o Bimolchand of Khurai Thongam Leikai.
The incident occurred when the duo was driving along in an Activa scooter and had a head on collision with a Tata dipper truck at the said area. Umeshwori succumbed to her injuries at the spot and Henao expired at JNIMS hospital.
A case has been registered by Porompat police in the regard.
