IMPHAL, Sept 1: A team of Thadou Students Association, TSA, Chandel district conducted a 5-day inspection starting 29 August at various places in H Kotlenphai village, Pallel ended today.
In a statement issued to the press, Hempu Haokip, secy information and publicity, TSA Chandel stated a special inspection team visited several places in Kotlenphai village to observe and report on the present educational system and distribution of sanitory items launched by PHED Chandel as part of their total sanitation campaign in Khengjoy sub division in Dingpi area.
The inspection team led by James Haokip, general secretary, TSA stated there the serious gap between the students and the teachers with no adequate number of teachers in the area.
He further pointed out that there are 50 (fifty) students and only one teacher, citing the condition of Tolbung village primary school.
The statement also stated there are 515 students in Dingpi area in Khenjoy sub division who came from different nooks and corners of the district and further appealed the concerned authority to establish more educational institution in the area including 2 (two) higher secondary and 4 (four) high schools in Khengjoy sub division.
The association also extended their gratitute to all who extended help including the 107 Engineering regiment, Leimakhong, 6-Dogra Gokemdo post personnel, however it appealed the concerned authority to intervene the progress of the BRTF works expressing dissatisfaction especially for their work carried out on the roads between Chahmol village to New Samtar village.
