IMPHAL, Sept 5: As part of the National Environment Awareness Campaign, NEAC, the Women Empowerment for Better Society, WEBS organised a public awareness campaign on conservation of forest yesterday, 4 September at Langthabal Kunja, Imphal West, Manipur.
The campaign, jointly sponsored by Ministry of environment and forest, Govt of India and Directorate of environment, Manipur was conducted at Canchipur high school, Langthabal, a statement said today and added, the theme of the campaign was “Forest for sustainable livelihood”.
Several tree-saplings were planted in the area during the day.
