IMPHAL, Sep 21: Although Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has assured to give reward of Rs. 10 lakhs to the five-time World Boxing champion MC Mary Kom who won another Gold Medal in the recently held Sixth World Women’s Boxing Championship held at Barbados, the decision to present the declared amount is to be taken in the Cabinet meeting which is scheduled tomorrow afternoon at the Chief Minister’s bungalow.
According to an official source, the Cabinet meeting of the state SPF government will be convened tomorrow afternoon under the chairmanship of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh at his official bungalow to discuss various major agendas including provision of Rs. 10 lakhs to the state woman boxing star MC Mary Kom.
The official source also further mentioned that the proposed meeting of the state Cabinet will also discuss the report of the Officer Committee that was submitted to the state government in connection with recent alleged scandals in the announcement of the result of the appointment of Primary teachers under state Education (S) department.
Further, the Cabinet will also discuss the existing district boundary disputes and overlapping of the districts which came across during the operations of Census 2010 in the state.
The official source also mentioned that the Cabinet meeting tomorrow will also discuss the amendment of Combined Civil Service Exanimations rules and establishment of two fast track courts in the state.
