IMPHAL, October 22: A defeat or a draw or for that matter a small goal margin win for SSU against MPSC tomorrow is all it takes for AIM to lift up its first MSL title.

AIM, Khabam Lamkhai inched closer to its first MSL title by defeating NEROCA by 4-0 today at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

With 23 points after its last match today, AIM is at the top of the points table, however at 20 points with tomorrow’s match remaining SSU has a small chance to still beat AIM in the title run.

However SSU has to defeat MPSC by 7-0 which would be next impossible.

Playing the 53rd match, AIM controlled the match throughout.

NEROCA scored an own goal in the 23rd minute to hand over to AIM a 1-0 lead.

The first half ended with AIM leading by 1-0.
