IMPHAL Oct 26: The Tribal Disables’ Union Manipur (ATDUM) has cancelled its proposed 12-hrs bandh on 29, Oct at all the hill district of the state, as said by a press released.
The 12-hrs bandh, that was supposed to be affected from 5 am, was cancelled due to an agreement reached after a long discussion between the state education minister and the representative of the Union at the latter’s office.
The press released further added that ATDUM have also submitted a memorandum of understating (MoU) to the education minister.
And it further added that, according to the MoU, the govt. will consider the demands of ATDUM that includes relaxation of 5 percent marks in eligibility criteria and pass mark for TET for differently-able TET’s candidates and to open an examination center for physically challenged candidate at DM college campus.
The ATDUM further maintained that that differently-abled TET tribal candidate who will be appearing in the forthcoming exam can consult the union for accommodation facility.
