IMPHAL, Nov 1: A top brass member of CPI/ML, Sankar Das will be landing tomorrow at the Imphal Airport to meet Irom Chanu Sarmila who has been remanded in judicial custody under Porompat Police station FIR no. 95 (3) 2012 PRT PS under section 309 of Indian Penal Code.
Sankar Das is currently the NE-in-charge of CPI/ML, and he would reach Imphal by an afternoon flight from Kolkata.
Source said that the leaders of the CPI/ML state unit would receive him at the Imphal Tulihan Airport.
The source further said that the State Home Dept. hasn’t granted the CPI/ML team led by Sankar Das permission to meet the Iron Lady.
