IMPHAL, November 4: The government is considering distribution of PDS items on an individual basis rather than on a family basis, said Minister CAF&PD M Okendro Singh during a reception ceremony of Advocate General of Manipur Th Ibohal Singh at the Salungpham Kang Yambem Ground today.
The Minister also said that instead of trying to break the state into small pieces for certain political gains, everyone should be more interested in developing the state.
He continued under the Chief Minister, all Ministers have been trying to meet their targets set for improvement in their concern areas.
He said, under the three terms of Congress led or Congress rules in the state, there has been several improvements and continued that the government has been considering uniformed development in all parts of the state.
The Minister who also holds the education portfolio said, he is trying his best to improve the quality of education in the state and said that people will start to see changes in the education system soon. Further continuing on education, the Minister said, talented teachers have been distributed amongst the schools and effort is on to bring all schools under a common model. He is also trying to launch several vocational courses, the Minister said.
He further said that the Advocate General will impart valuable contribution and advises to the state government.
Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal Takhellambam Ranjit Singh expressed his believe that theAdvocate General Th Ibohal Singh will help in developing the state and that he will impart valuable advice to the state government.
Thoubal SP Dr AK Jhaljit Singh expressed that one should not live for short term development, but instead all must join hands to bring a long term development to the state.
He appealed to all to fight against drug abuse.
